About this happenin

Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church has run Clearwater GreekFest for decades, built on braised lamb, loukoumathes and the Hellas Dancers. It is one of Pinellas County's oldest cultural celebrations and the parish's biggest public fundraiser, spread across the church grounds on South Old Coachman Road. The kitchen is the draw: pastitsio, plaki, Greek chicken with garlic and lemon, gyros and souvlaki from the taverna line, a pastry booth in the gym, frappé and baklava sundaes. Between plates there are cooking demonstrations, guided tours of the Byzantine sanctuary, a marketplace of jewelry and imports, and the Opa Party Tent.\n\nKnow before you go: the festival runs three days, with Friday and Saturday going 11am to 11pm and Sunday a shorter noon to 6pm. Church tours and cooking demos are scheduled through the afternoon, and the Jr. and Sr. Hellas Dancers perform as part of the entertainment lineup. The organizer does not publish an admission price or parking guidance, so check the festival site before you set out.
