Discovery Cove
About
The dolphin swim package at Discovery Cove in Orlando puts you in the lagoon with a bottlenose dolphin for about 30 minutes. You have to be at least 6 and 42 inches tall to swim, and kids 6 to 12 swim with a paying adult. Dolphin Lagoon and the Grand Reef are saltwater at about 76 to 77 degrees, cooler than the river and Serenity Bay at around 85. For summer or a holiday, book at least two months out. Each morning a flock of flamingos walks from the Grand Reef across the beaches in front of Dolphin Lagoon to the courtyard by Laguna Grill.

It is reservation-only with no walk-ups, and summer dates sell out, so plan on booking Discovery Cove tickets about two months ahead.
