About
Thousands of alligators live at Gatorland, which Owen Godwin opened on old cattle land along South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando in 1949. The Godwin family still owns it, and the park buys or rescues nuisance alligators that trappers would otherwise kill. Part of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was filmed in its breeding marsh. Look for Jawlene, an alligator with no upper jaw.

General admission is open-dated and covers the whole preserve and three live shows. The zip line and the hands-on encounters cost more on top of a Gatorland ticket.
