Time a visit to Bok Tower Gardens for 1 or 3 p.m., when the Singing Tower's 60-bell carillon plays its daily concerts. The rest of the day, the clock plays a short selection every hour. The tower rises 205 feet over a reflecting pool on Iron Mountain in Lake Wales, one of the highest points on the Florida peninsula. Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. designed the 50 acres of gardens around it, and the camellias and azaleas peak in late winter. Pinewood Estate, a 20-room Mediterranean-style house from the 1930s, is on the grounds and open for tours.
