Crab pots and Gulf catch off the grill fill the Madeira Beach boardwalk for three days, with live music over the water. The John's Pass Seafood Festival has taken it over every year since 1982. Local restaurants and visiting food vendors set up along the Village with arts and crafts and retail booths in the gaps, and the shops and dock bars stay open around all of it. It's free and family friendly, and it runs rain or shine from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. Parking is the hard part. City lots and the John's Pass garage charge hourly event rates and private lots set their own, so the easier move is the free Jolley Trolley shuttle. It runs from free parking at Madeira Beach City Hall and the Recreation Center, and from Madeira Beach Fundamental School. Rideshare drop-offs work best at John's Pass Park on Gulf Lane.
