Each February the Safety Harbor Chamber fills Waterfront Park with seafood vendors, artist tents and a music stage a few steps from Old Tampa Bay. The two-day festival pairs a Celebrity Chef Seafood Showcase with fine art and crafts from artists who travel in from across the country, plus painters working on site, a live art auction and a People's Choice award decided by the crowd. A Kids' Zone and interactive art activities run alongside the food. Know before you go: general admission is always free and the festival is dog friendly. Free parking with shuttle service runs from Safety Harbor Middle School, which spares you the hunt for a space downtown. Saturday is the long day, opening late morning or midday and running into the evening, while Sunday runs noon to late afternoon. A paid VIP Lounge adds stageside seating, a private restroom, drinks and chef-prepared food. The lawn in front of the stage fills with folding chairs, so bring one.
