Clearwater Jazz Holiday fills Coachman Park for four October days, with headliners on the waterfront main stage and free side stages under the causeway. Now in its fifth decade, it plays out on the rebuilt downtown green, Clearwater Harbor on one side and the Memorial Causeway arcing overhead. Programming spans jazz, funk, blues and soul; the nonprofit behind it funds music education. Know before you go: reserved and general admission seating on the main green is ticketed, while the Lower Plaza and Promenade Pier stages and the Sunset Bluff stay free and open daily. Kids under 12 are free on the green with an adult GA ticket holder. Gates open in the afternoon and headliners play into the night. Blankets up to six by eight feet and folding chairs are allowed on the green and bluff only; the smaller stages are standing room. No outside food, drink, coolers, tents or umbrellas, and the site is cashless. Downtown city garages are free on weekends except Lot 11 on Pierce Street; the Jolley Trolley, PSTA and the Clearwater Ferry stop close by.
