About this happenin
Reggae Rise Up Florida fills Vinoy Park each March, turning St. Petersburg's downtown waterfront into a four-day reggae festival on the edge of Tampa Bay. Multiple stages run against a backdrop of live oaks, palms and open water, with more than a hundred craft and food vendors, dozens of beverage stations, live muralists and large-scale art installations spread across the grounds. Crowds push past 15,000 a day, though the park leaves enough lawn to set a chair well back from the rail. Know before you go: tickets are tiered, from single-day general admission up to four-day Platinum, and kids 12 and under get in free. Gates open at 4pm on the opening day and at noon on the full days, and music ends at 10pm nightly under city ordinance. Bring a chair, a bag no larger than 14 by 14 inches and an empty refillable bottle; blankets, coolers and tents are turned away. Re-entry is limited to GA+, VIP and Platinum wristbands. The festival points drivers to the SouthCore Parking Garage downtown, entered from 1st Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Streets, and a free city trolley runs between the garage and the park about every 15 minutes, though seats on it are limited. Pete Trolley looping roughly every 15 minutes. Rain or shine, no refunds.
