About this happenin

Viva Osceola fills the Festival Lawn at Kissimmee Lakefront Park with live merengue, salsa and folklorico dance every October, free to walk into and running for more than thirty years. The Osceola Chamber presents it as the area's oldest celebration of Hispanic heritage, arts and culture, and the largest Hispanic festival in Osceola County. A main stage rotates between touring Latin acts and local dance academies, food vendors cook Puerto Rican, Dominican, Colombian, Venezuelan, Peruvian and Mexican plates, and a sponsored kids' zone keeps younger visitors busy with bounce houses and hands-on activities. Know before you go: admission is free and open to the public, with no ticket needed. The festival takes over a single afternoon and evening, running 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the open lakefront lawn at 201 Lakeview Drive, a short walk from downtown Kissimmee. Children's programming runs alongside the music, so families are the point rather than an afterthought. Vendors and sponsors register through the Osceola Chamber.
