Mount Dora Bicycle Festival
310 S. Tremain St, Mount Dora, FL 32757
About this happenin
Florida's oldest and largest bicycle festival rolls out of Mount Dora each autumn: two mornings of supported group rides through the hills of Lake County. Distances run from a flat 10-mile lakeside spin to a metric century that climbs Sugarloaf Mountain, so a first-timer and a century rider can start from the same field. Routes are marked, rest stops stocked, and lunch waits back at Gilbert Park both days. Know before you go: rides depart at 7:30 a.m. from Gilbert Park at 310 S. Tremain Street, with check-in from 6 a.m. and announcements at 7:15. Registration is priced by route and climbs as the weekend nears; it covers a shirt, a finisher medal and lunch. Riders 15 and under are free with a registered adult. Bring your own bottles, as rest stops refill rather than pour cups. It runs rain or shine. Tent and RV camping is available at nearby Trimble Park. Proceeds fund swim lessons and scholarships for area kids.
