Father's Day Adventure Race
1350 Snow Hill Rd, Geneva, FL 32732
About this happenin
Many teams in the Father's Day Adventure Race are parents racing with their kids. It's a four-hour navigation race through Little Big Econ State Forest that Florida Xtreme Adventures puts on every June. Racers find checkpoints with map and compass, moving on foot and by mountain bike, with canoe legs on the water. Checkpoints carry different point values: experienced teams chase the hard, high-value ones, while beginners can pick up the easy controls and still have a full morning on course. Solo racers have their own class. The race runs 8am to noon, with a cookout after. You don't need your own boat or life vest: FLX provides the canoes and paddling gear. Each racer needs a bike, a helmet, a whistle and two liters of water, and e-bikes are not allowed. Each team carries a compass, a cell phone, a permanent marker and three meters of duct tape as a first aid kit, plus the rest of the FLX mandatory gear list. Registration opens in spring and closes a few days before the race. Sign the FLX waiver online ahead of time to speed up check-in.
