Mutton bustin' puts kids ages 4 to 6 on sheep in Silver Spurs Arena, on the same bill as the bull riding and bronc riding at Florida's official state rodeo. It has run in Kissimmee since 1944. The Silver Spurs Riding Club stages all seven traditional events over a four-performance weekend in February and a shorter two-night run in June. Parking is free, but there are only three entrances, off Shakerag Road and Bill Beck Boulevard, so the club suggests arriving about 90 minutes ahead. Doors open an hour before each performance. The arena is indoor and climate controlled; bring a light jacket if you run cold. Children 3 and under sit free on a lap, and everyone 4 and up needs a ticket. Concessions sell burgers, hot dogs, pretzels and cash-only beer and wine, and there are ATMs on site. Reusable water bottles are allowed.
