Silver Spurs Rodeo
1875 Silver Spur Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744
About this happenin
Florida's official state rodeo has run in Kissimmee since 1944, and twice a year it fills Silver Spurs Arena with bull riding, bronc riding and barrel racing. The Silver Spurs Riding Club runs all seven traditional events across a four-performance weekend in February and a shorter two-night run in June, and bills it as the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi. Mutton bustin' puts kids ages 4 to 6 in the arena on sheep. Know before you go: parking is free, and with only three entrances off Shakerag Road and Bill Beck Boulevard the club suggests arriving about 90 minutes ahead. Doors open an hour before each performance. The arena is indoor and climate controlled, so bring a light jacket if you run cold. Children 3 and under sit free on a lap, while ages 4 and up need a ticket. Concessions run to burgers, hot dogs and pretzels, beer and wine are cash only, and ATMs are on site. Reusable water bottles are allowed.
