About

The Oval Office at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum in Atlanta is a life-size replica, with a reproduction of the Resolute desk. The Camp David Meetings get a walk-through exhibit built like a cabin, and an interactive map table follows the Carters' work monitoring elections and fighting disease. The library and the Carter Center share a 37-acre campus with ponds, on what was the Copenhill neighborhood until it was cleared for a freeway interchange that was never built. Entry is by timed ticket, and the library asks you to arrive no more than 10 minutes early. It's closed Sundays. Jimmy Carter lay in repose here in January 2025 before his state funeral; his grave is in Plains.
