About

Richard Meier's 1983 building and three more that Renzo Piano added in 2005 house the High Museum of Art on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. Piano's buildings more than doubled the museum, and about 1,000 light scoops bring northern daylight into his galleries. The collection covers seven areas, folk and self-taught art and photography among them, and the pieces it features include a Monet, a Basquiat, a Harry Callahan photograph and an El Anatsui made from bottle tops. MARTA's Arts Center station is right across the street.
