Biscayne National Park, at the end of SW 328th Street in Homestead, has one mile of paved road, and you need a boat to reach most of it. Without one, book the Biscayne National Park Institute, whose four-hour Boca Chita cruise leaves from Coconut Grove and passes Stiltsville on the way. Bring your own water to Boca Chita, which has grills and toilets but nothing to drink. Three wrecks on the Maritime Heritage Trail (the Erl King, Alicia and Lugano) suit scuba, and the rest can be snorkeled. So can the base of the 1878 Fowey Rocks Lighthouse, though the tower is closed to the public.
