The Great St. Pete Super Greek Festival
3600 76th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710
About this happenin
St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church turns its west St. Petersburg grounds over to three days of parish cooked Greek food, live music and open dancing. Parishioners make the moussaka, pastitsio, dolmades and braised lamb shank, while a grill line turns out gyros, souvlaki and Greek fries with oregano and feta, and the pastry counter sells baklava, koulourakia and galaktoboureko by the box. Indoors, a live Greek band plays and the parish youth and adult dance troupes perform; outside, a covered tent runs a DJ. Free Greek dance and language lessons are offered several times daily, and the church opens for guided tours. Know before you go: admission is $3 per person for the entire day, free for children 10 and under and for active military, veterans, and law enforcement and fire personnel. Parking on site is free, with volunteers directing overflow and accessible spaces available. A Kids Zone keeps younger visitors busy. Hours run 11 am to 10 pm Friday and Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm Sunday, rain or shine. Leave pets at home; service animals are welcome.
