About this happenin
The Rotary Club of College Park holds Taste of College Park, an annual food and wine night, at the Great Southern Box Co. Food Hall and Bar in Orlando's Packing District. Nearly two dozen neighborhood businesses pour and plate, restaurants sharing the room with wineries and breweries. One ticket covers the whole circuit of tasting stations, plus live music and a silent and live auction stocked by local businesses. The night pays for scholarships for graduating seniors and Student of the Month awards at four area schools through the Rotary Club of College Park Foundation, which also buys free books for local kids. Wine and beer are served, so the organizers ask guests to plan on a 21+ evening. It runs 6pm to 9pm, and the Great Southern Box Company has a 300-space parking garage on site. Tickets sell in advance through Eventbrite, and with 400-plus guests most years, book ahead. The online auction opens about 30 days out.
