Watch the murals get made. On September 19 the Downtown Arts District turns South Magnolia Avenue into an open-air studio: the big commissioned walls go up around downtown in the weeks before, then live muralists work pop-up panels and the CityArts courtyard from 2pm to 10pm, with DJs, vendors and food trucks between them. It's free. Come after dark, when the lights hit wet paint and the finished walls read as one long gallery, and hit the Third Thursday reception on the 17th first if you want to actually talk to the artists.
