Great Day in the Country

About this happenin

More than half a century of the same free arts and crafts festival, run by volunteers from the GFWC Oviedo Woman's Club over a November weekend at Oviedo Mall. Roughly 15,000 people came through in 2021, and Saturday at 10 beats Saturday at noon. Booths fill the outdoor events space and carry on inside along the center walkway, so weather doesn't wreck it: juried art competitions with ribbons, a basket auction, leather bags, oil paintings, kettle corn and ribs. Parking at the mall is free. Every dollar raised funds scholarships and school grants, more than $850,000 since 1998.

More in November: 20 other Orlando events.
