More than 140 artists ring Cranes Roost Lake in Altamonte Springs for a March weekend of glass, jewelry, pottery, photography and painting, free to walk and free to park in the Altamonte Mall lot. The part worth planning around is the chalk: street painters work the park's sidewalks all weekend and you vote for a favorite, so a piece you watch start Saturday morning is finished by Sunday afternoon. Saturday's concert runs 6 to 10 in the amphitheater bowl, and it's blankets or cushions only, no outside chairs, so pack accordingly. Cousins Maine Lobster, Papa Diesel BBQ and a dozen more trucks handle dinner.
