Orlando Carnival Downtown has brought mas bands and soca to Memorial Day weekend since the late 1980s. Friday is Carnival on the Runway, a costume showcase. Saturday morning is J'ouvert, built on paint, powder and water, so wear shoes and clothes you're willing to ruin. Admission changes from year to year: some years are ticketed, others free with advance registration. Parking is in the stadium's lettered and numbered lots, sold in advance through Ticketmaster, with ADA spaces in Lot 6.
