About this happenin
FusionFest takes over Loch Haven Park the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, a free two-day festival of music, dance, food and art drawn from more than 110 cultures. It grew out of Orange County's arts and cultural affairs office and has kept the same shape ever since: stages running continuous music and dance, a Fashion Heritage runway, poetry slams and storytelling, a Field of Flags, cultural display tents, an international marketplace, and a Foods of the World row where the cooking is the whole argument. The Family Village anchors the kid side with arts and crafts, giant puppets and a cardboard village children build themselves. Know before you go: admission is free and no ticket is required. Saturday runs from mid-morning into the evening and Sunday is a shorter afternoon, so check the posted hours for the day you want. Parking is in the Loch Haven lots shared with the Orlando Science Center and the neighboring theaters. The festival is family-friendly and pet-friendly, and everything happens outdoors, so wear shoes you can walk in.
