Fireworks at the Fountain
195 N Rosalind Ave, Orlando, FL 32801
About this happenin
Orlando's Independence Day belongs to Lake Eola Park, where fireworks go up over the water at 9:10 p.m., scored live by the Orlando Concert Band. The afternoon builds to it: live entertainment from 4 p.m., a family zone built for kids, and local food and drink vendors set up around the lake. The illuminated fountain at the center of the water is the one the event is named for, and the downtown skyline stands right behind the show. Know before you go: admission is free, festivities run 4 to 10 p.m., and the concert band's patriotic set starts at 8 p.m. Roads around the lake close, including Eola Drive, Rosalind Avenue and sections of Robinson Street and Central Boulevard, so park in a downtown garage and take the free LYMMO circulator in, or use rideshare, LYNX buses or a bike. Bring water, sunscreen and an umbrella for July heat or a passing storm.
