Light Up Mount Dora

About this happenin

On the night of Light Up Mount Dora, the tree in Sunset Park comes on after dark and fireworks follow, switching on the city's downtown holiday display. Donnelly Park and Sunset Park become one lit walk with the storefronts between them. Santa sets up for photos, and restaurants and shops around the squares stay open late. The same lights come back each night through January 1, then on weekends through February 1. It's free, and it runs from late afternoon until about 9pm. Downtown parking fills early; the city runs offsite event shuttle parking and a free Freebee ride service, both detailed on its event parking page. There's park programming as well as the Santa photos, and a chair or blanket helps if you want to settle in for the music.
