About this happenin
Gallery after gallery of the Orlando Museum of Art fills each November for Festival of Trees, with more than 50 designer-decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses and holiday tablescapes. The Council of 101 stages it as a fundraiser for the museum. Opening night is the TreeView Party, ticketed separately. There's a silent auction and raffle, and pop-up shops run in the Holiday Boutique and Toyland. Live entertainment goes on through the day, and on weekends Santa Claus Lane is set up for photos. The festival is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for its nine-day run. Admission has recently been $23 for adults, and $15 for children 3 to 12 and seniors 60 and up. Active-duty military and first responders with valid ID have also paid $15. Parking is free in the lot beside the museum in Loch Haven Park, and the Festival Café serves 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast with Santa and the children's Reindeer Romp cost extra.
