About this happenin
The Central Florida Fair runs eleven days on the West Colonial Drive fairgrounds each late winter, pairing a full midway with one of Florida's largest youth livestock shows. It has been run by the same local nonprofit for more than a century, and the agricultural side is not decoration: thousands of 4-H and FFA projects in swine, lamb, cattle, poultry, rabbits, cavies and horses are judged in the show rings while coasters, game booths, competitive exhibits and stage acts fill the rest of the grounds. Know before you go: gates open at 4 p.m. on weekdays and noon on weekends, with last entry at 10 p.m. Children 6 and under get in free, and the fair leans hard on discount nights, typically an opening night canned-food donation deal, a $2 Tuesday, and free admission for military, first responders and school employees. Anyone 17 and under must be with a parent or guardian 21 or older, who may escort two minors, and ID is checked at the gate. Parking is on site.
