The Russell-Fields City Pier, next to Pier Park, runs more than 1,500 feet into the Gulf, and people fish it for cobia and king mackerel. Its lot fills quickly, so park across the street at Pier Park. Glass is banned on the sand all year, and in March so is alcohol.
