About

Western Lake, one of South Walton's 15 coastal dune lakes, has a boat ramp inside Grayton Beach State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. From the ramp you can take a kayak or paddleboard out on brackish water, with a salt marsh in view. More than four miles of trail run through the pine flatwoods, open to bikes as well as hikers, and the park has 59 campsites and 30 cabins. The Gulf beach is for swimming and surf fishing.
