Vinoy Park on the St. Petersburg waterfront hosts three days of blues every April, as it has since 1995. Each day stacks five acts on the main stage, from early afternoon to an 8:30pm headliner, and Buddy Guy and Koko Taylor are among the names who have taken the stage there. Single days are $75 and a three-day pass is $180, plus a service charge online. Children under 12 get in free with an adult. Gates open about half an hour before the music starts. Bring a lawn chair and cash, because most vendors accept nothing else. Coolers and pets stay outside. Vendors sell seafood, barbecue, Cuban food and crafts. Park downtown at the Sundial or Southcore garage and take the free festival shuttle from Second Street, which runs until 11pm. The tip jars at the beer and wine stands collect for Parc Center for Disabilities, the festival's charity partner.
