Saturday night at St. Pete Comic Con splits between a poolside hangout and a DJ floor upstairs, and one wristband covers both. Florida Comic Cons stages four fan conventions in the city across the year, and this one brings comic artists, voice actors, vendors and cosplay contests to a St. Petersburg hotel for two days. Much of the program is cosplay: craftsmanship judging, a runway, a lip sync competition and panels. Food trucks and boba sit right on the convention floor. Saturday starts at 10am. The vendor hall closes at 5pm, while panels and late-night programming carry on into the evening. Sunday runs 11am to 5pm. A paid adult can bring in children 9 and under free. Wear your badge the whole time, since it's also how you get back in. Bags are searched at the door, and the venue bans alcohol and firearms. Pets aren't allowed. The con moves between host hotels from one edition to the next, so the venue and its parking aren't fixed.
