About this happenin
St. Pete Comic Con takes over a St. Petersburg hotel for two days of comic artists, voice actors, vendors and cosplay contests that run late into Saturday night. Florida Comic Cons stages it as one of four fan conventions it holds in the city across the year, and the weekend leans hard on cosplay: craftsmanship judging, a runway, a lip sync competition, panels, and a Saturday after dark party split between a poolside hangout and a DJ floor upstairs, all covered by the same wristband. Food trucks, boba and international snacks sit on the convention floor instead of at a concession stand. Know before you go: Saturday starts at 10am with the vendor hall open until 5pm and panels and late-night programming carrying on into the evening, and Sunday runs 11am to 5pm. Children 9 and under get in free with a paid adult, badges must be worn throughout, and re-entry is allowed with one. Bags are searched at the door, and the venue bans alcohol, firearms and pets. The con changes host hotels between editions, so confirm the venue and its parking before you drive.
