Tens of thousands of people come into downtown Tampa for the Tampa Bay Comic Convention, three days at the Tampa Convention Center. It started as a one-day show. Panels run in a dozen rooms at once, and the schedule goes well past comics to anime screenings, wrestling, tabletop and video gaming, a maid cafe, fan meetups and a cosplay contest. Celebrity Row handles autographs and photo ops, and there's an artist alley and a sprawling vendor floor. Passes are three-day multipasses (free for 10 and under with a paying adult), and buying ahead beats the door price. Everyone stops at registration for a wristband first. The vendor floor opens around midday Friday and late morning Saturday and Sunday, and Ruby and VIP passes get you in earlier. Those tiers also come with reserved panel seats and express lines. Bring cash for autographs and shoes you can stand in all day. Four downtown garages sit within a short walk.
