A 50,000 square foot hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds holds Tampa Toy Con, more than 150 tables of vintage and modern toys. Dealers bring redline Hot Wheels and Matchbox, vintage GI Joe and Star Wars, Transformers, Mego, Funko Pop, wrestling figures, horror and monster busts, Barbie, My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake. Retro gaming vendors stock Atari, Nintendo, Sega and PlayStation. Comic vendors and artists sit among the toy tables, so it doubles as a comics stop. Cosplay groups and screen replica vehicles set up for photos among the themed collector displays, and each edition books celebrity guests from film and television. It runs both days of the weekend, 9am to 4pm. Admission is $15 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. Under-12s don't pay, and they're handed a Hot Wheels car or Pokemon cards. Parking at the fairgrounds costs $10 a day.
