For ten days each November, St. Petersburg hands its walls to muralists from around the world, and you watch the paint go up from the sidewalk. Produced by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance since 2015, SHINE is curated and invitation-only, which is why the city counts close to 200 permanent murals rather than a scatter of one-off tags. Lifts rise, primer goes on, and over the run a blank warehouse flank turns into a finished piece you can come back to for years. Know before you go: there is no single venue. Work happens across the Central, Edge, Grand Central, Warehouse Arts, Waterfront Museum, Historic Roser Park and MLK North districts, so pick one district and walk it rather than driving wall to wall. The Mural Quest St. Pete app maps 185-plus murals with artist bios, curated routes and offline maps, and Star Trolley runs guided mural tours.
