Seven private homes in St. Petersburg's Historic Old Northeast open their doors on the first Sunday in December, mostly 1920s bungalows and Mediterranean Revivals you otherwise only see from the brick street. A trolley loops between them, so park once near check-in and ride rather than driving house to house. Tickets go on sale the first week of November and the last tour drew over a thousand people, so buy them then. Doors are open 3 to 8 pm, and the smart move is saving a house or two for after five, when the candles start doing the work.
