Seven private homes in St. Petersburg's Historic Old Northeast open their doors on the first Sunday in December, mostly 1920s bungalows and Mediterranean Revivals you otherwise only see from the brick street. Doors are open 3 to 8 pm, and after five the candles start doing the work, so save a house or two for then. A trolley loops between the homes; park once near check-in and ride instead of driving house to house. Tickets go on sale the first week of November and a recent tour drew over a thousand people, so buy them then.
