About this happenin
Localtopia fills Williams Park and the closed streets around it with 300-plus independent St. Petersburg businesses, makers and nonprofits, and it is free to enter. Keep Saint Petersburg Local runs it as a one-day celebration of what is made and owned nearby: a bandstand stage of live music and dance, four themed villages covering arts, family, health and wellness, and plants, plus food trucks, breweries and beverage stations spread across 2nd, 3rd and 4th Streets. Know before you go: admission is free, and the tip jars at the beverage stations are how the volunteers fund the day. The festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On-street parking is limited, so organizers point people toward the three wheelchair-accessible downtown garages, the free bike valet, the fare-free SunRunner and the complimentary Central Avenue Trolley. Bring a card or cash for the makers and sun cover for an open park, and leave the dog at home, since crowd size ended the pet-friendly policy years ago.
