Saturday Morning Market
100 1st Ave SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
About this happenin
Every Saturday from October through May, the Al Lang Stadium parking lot in downtown St. Petersburg fills with 140-plus vendors, family farms and live music. Running since 2002, it is the weekend ritual here: sustainably grown produce, eggs and honey from growers you can question directly, juried booths of glass, wood and jewelry, and ready-to-eat food spanning more than 15 countries, from Ethiopian to Cuban to Belgian. A smaller summer edition runs June through August, and the market takes all of September off. Know before you go: hours are 9 am to 2 pm in the winter season and 9 am to 1 pm in summer. The South Core Garage on 1st Avenue S runs about $8 on weekends, and metered street parking nearby is $1 to $1.50 an hour by meter or ParkMobile. The free Looper trolley circles downtown and bike racks line the market's north side. Dogs are welcome on leashes under four feet, no extendable leads, with a water bowl at the Market booth. SNAP purchases of Florida produce are matched through Fresh Access Bucks.
