About this happenin
The artists at the Downtown Dunedin Art Festival stand in their own booths, so the price of a piece usually arrives with the story of how it was made. Each January the juried fine art lines Main Street in one of Florida's oldest Gulf coast towns: sculpture, photography, glass, painting, ceramics, jewelry and mixed media. A separate craft marketplace runs alongside, and that's where to spend your time if you'd rather carry home something handmade and small. The booths center on 271 Main Street and stay open 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, and it's free to walk in. The calmest browsing comes early in the day. Wear shoes you can cover the same block in several times over. Main Street itself is a walkable run of independent shops and restaurants, so a morning of browsing turns into a long lunch without much effort.
