About this happenin
Clearwater lights its Christmas tree at Coachman Park in late November, a free evening from 5 to 9 p.m. Carolers and dance groups perform, and kids get inflatables. A snow machine supplies the weather Florida does not. Merchants and food trucks come out too, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus pose for photos. The Garden Avenue Garage, a few blocks from the park, is free after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, while the closest lot, Lot 11 on Pierce Street, charges by the hour until 6 p.m.
