Safety Harbor Holiday Parade

Nobody throws candy at Safety Harbor's Holiday Parade. Adult walkers beside each entry hand it out instead, and they keep the crowd back off the street. The parade comes down Main Street at 10 a.m. on the first Saturday of December and is over by about 11:30. It goes ahead rain or shine. Floats go by with cars old and new, and Santa Claus comes last. Watching costs nothing, and parking downtown is free as well, on the street and in the public lots marked with blue P signs. Smoking and alcohol aren't allowed along the route. Groups that want a place in the line apply through the city's events site. Stand near the Gazebo if you want to hear each entry introduced, because that's where the announcers are.
