Winter Park Paint Out

About this happenin

Twenty-odd plein air painters set up around Winter Park for a week each April. Watching is free and so are the demonstrations, but the reason to go is the wet room at the Albin Polasek Museum: finished canvases go on the wall the same day they're painted, still tacky, and you can buy one on the spot. Midweek mornings find the artists out working in the sculpture gardens rather than packing up. The flash sale at the end of the week clears more than 200 paintings, and the museum takes a cut of every one.

More in April: 14 other Orlando events.
