The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art show that admits Florida artists exclusively, and it fills Central Park with about 180 tented booths each autumn. Work spans ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, fiber and mixed media, alongside a stage of local musicians, a beer garden, and a Children's Art Workshop where kids make their own pieces. Know before you go: admission is free with no ticket required, and hours run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. Park Avenue closes to traffic between Lyman and Canton avenues, so head for the Truist Garage at 203 E. Lyman Ave. or the Canton Garage at 150 E. Canton Ave. Paved paths keep the layout stroller and wheelchair friendly. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a tote for whatever you buy. City rules keep pets out of Central Park, though service animals are welcome.
