Tavares Christmas Parade and Festival

Route

Starts at 5 p.m. on Main Street at Sinclair Avenue and heads south to Ruby Street, east on Ruby to Saint Clair Abrams Avenue, north back up to Main Street, then west on Main to finish at Sinclair Avenue.

Tavares holds its Christmas parade in the evening, at 5 PM on the first Saturday of December, and the festival in Historic Downtown carries on after the last float. The route runs from Main Street and Sinclair Avenue south to Ruby Street, east to Saint Clair Abrams and back up to Main. Come early with a lawn chair for a spot along it. Entries are capped, with a separate limit for golf cart communities. After the parade there is a giant Christmas tree, "ice" skating, snowstorms and a movie in the park, with Santa on hand for visits. Parade awards have included Most Generous prizes for toys and for food.
