The city's Taste of Kissimmee, a lakefront food and drink evening, has moved around the calendar: it has been held in February and, more recently, in May, so the month can change from one year to the next. It's a Friday evening that the City of Kissimmee puts on at Ruby Plaza in Kissimmee Lakefront Park, with bands on the main stage as the sun goes down over Lake Tohopekaliga. Local restaurants and vendors serve dishes and drinks in the open air, and the cooking and the cultural performances reflect the mix of communities across Osceola County. The city has scheduled it from 5 to 9 pm. Getting in is free, but vendors sell the food and drink, so carry a way to pay. Ruby Plaza is at 201 Lakeview Drive on the downtown lakefront, with tables and seating set out near the stage.
