Mount Dora Corn Festival
100 N Donnelly St, Mount Dora, FL 32757
About this happenin
The Mount Dora Corn Festival hands Elizabeth Evans Park over to Zellwood sweet corn, shucked and grilled by the crate and included with every paid admission. The corn is grown at Long & Scott Farms just up the road and picked the morning of the festival, and the day is built around it. Eating contests run in fastest and spiciest heats, a cornbread cook-off sets home bakers against local businesses, and a Corn King and Queen are crowned. Around that sit cornhole, a petting zoo, a kids' area, corn-themed food vendors, live country music on the lakefront and fireworks over Lake Dora. Know before you go: admission is ticketed, with advance adult tickets running about $20, roughly half that for ages 4 to 9, and free for children 3 and under. Prices go up at the gate. The city runs free shuttle parking for the festival, so check the festival site for the current pickup spot before you drive in.
