Spring Fever in the Garden

Brick-paved Plant Street in downtown Winter Garden closes each spring for Spring Fever in the Garden, and more than 200 plant and garden vendors sell annuals and perennials, natives, orchids, herbs and garden art straight off the street. The Bloom & Grow Garden Society's weekend also brings the Chalkin' It Up sidewalk chalk contest, an Ask the Expert booth for garden questions, live entertainment, and a KidZone with crafts and face painting. West Plant Street is closed to traffic all weekend. Park at Dillard Elementary School or the lot at 848 E. Plant Street, and a free city shuttle runs to the stop at Dillard and Plant. Getting in is free, and hours are 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday. Anyone carrying plants home will want a wagon or folding cart. Bring water and sun cover too.
