Sanford Parade of Lights

About this happenin

Folding chairs claim the curb along First Street in historic downtown Sanford well before dark on parade night. The Parade of Lights runs from 6pm to 8pm on a December Saturday, with illuminated floats, light-strung cars, dance teams and school marching bands. Local schools and businesses enter alongside community groups, so the lineup leans homemade and enthusiastic. First Street closes to traffic well ahead of the start, so plan to park off the route and walk in. There's no ticket booth: the registration link on the city page is for groups entering the parade, not for spectators. The city also carries a live stream if you'd rather watch from home.
