Pints N' Paws turns Historic Downtown Sanford into a craft beer festival you bring the dog to, with more than 70 breweries pouring, 20-plus food trucks and live music. It began in 2012 after the founder lost his own dog, and every dollar raised goes to local pet rescues, including longtime partner Pet Rescue by Judy. The total is past $1 million. The Annual Poster Dog Contest is its heart: a small donation gets your dog photographed, and Facebook votes through April decide whose face lands on next year's poster. Know before you go: attending is free, but sampling means being 21 or over and buying a wristband. VIP adds an air-conditioned lounge with private bathrooms, a full bar, snacks, a festival shirt, pint glass and koozie. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Kids are allowed, though the day is built around adults, beer and pets. This is a Saturday daytime event spanning Palmetto Avenue outside Celery City Craft and West End Trading Co. on South Sanford Avenue, and the posted start time shifts from year to year.
