The Osceola County Fair runs ten days each February at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, pairing 4-H and FFA livestock shows with a full carnival midway. It is put on by the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show, a nonprofit whose volunteers hand back more than $50,000 a year in awards to Osceola County kids. Steer, hog and lamb shows fill the Pavilion Arena through the week and build toward the market animal auction, while evenings go to the demolition derby, truck and tractor pulls, whip cracking, pageants and live bands. Racing pigs, dog acts and a petting zoo rotate through the grounds. Know before you go: gate admission has run about $10 for ages 12 and up and $5 for seniors 60 and over and children 5 to 11, with kids 4 and under always free. Ride wristbands cost extra. Each of the ten days carries its own theme and gate promotion, including student days and canned food nights, so check the daily schedule before picking a night. The main entrance is off Bill Beck Boulevard.
