Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts

About this happenin

Best of Show carries a $2,500 prize at this juried fine-art show, so the booths hold serious painting and sculpture, with glass among them. It has filled Market Promenade Avenue in Colonial TownPark for a March weekend since the late 1980s, and it's free to walk in. The show has funded over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships for Seminole County high school graduates. Saturday runs 9 to 5 and Sunday 10 to 4, and on Saturday morning the artists still have their best pieces on the wall. For kids there's a Children's Creative Village and a student art tent.

More in March: 10 other Orlando events.
