The opening and closing films are at the Miami Beach Bandshell, about a five-minute drive from the Hilton Cabana, the closest of the Mid-Beach hotels.
The Miami Jewish Film Festival runs about two weeks every January, with screenings at eight venues across Miami-Dade and its biggest nights at the open-air Miami Beach Bandshell. It began in 1996. The audience was 4,000 in 2013 and passed 58,500 by 2025. The program is large: well over 100 films, Jewish and Israeli cinema from around the world, with filmmakers and guests on hand at many of the screenings. The Bandshell has hosted the opening and closing films. The other venues are in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Miami Shores and North Miami, and part of the program also plays online. Regular film tickets are $16. Miami Jewish Film Society members pay $11, and seniors and students with ID pay $15. Special events run $25 to $54. There are no refunds or exchanges, and tickets can't be reserved. Seating is general admission, so be in your seat 15 minutes before showtime.
